Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I am glad I found this authentic Italian restaurant. Loved the fact that they don't have printed menu because they change it everyday. I was surprised to be able to eat late lunch at 17h so they serve food continuously. I was the only client in the restaurant so the service was impeccable. I had butternut squash soup of the day, very simple but tasty. i then had one of their pasta of the day made with brocoli garlic and chilli, they offer 1/2 portion of pasta i think that's very convenient when you order an appetizer to have the choice to follow with a smaller dish. At least I finished everything and didn't waste any food."
"My fiancé and I had our last dinner of our week long trip here on Saturday and it was one of the best meals we had in all of Paris. We tried going earlier in the week but couldn’t get it due to the size and popularity, so we went early (around 6:30 PM) on Saturday and got right in. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They walked us through everything on the specials board, answered all of our questions, and offered suggestions. We started with the meat and cheese board along with the bruschetta to start - both were excellent. For main courses, we each ordered a special that were creative and delicious. Potions were generous and we left no room for dessert unfortunately. Our waiter, Elliot, was great and was consistently checking on us. We ended up talking with him for quite a while over the course of our meal and were made to feel very comfortable. Chances are we wouldn’t have found this place if we weren’t staying right around the corner, but part of the allure of this restaurant is that you have to know where it is to find it. I would absolutely recommend stopping in here for dinner if you are in the neighborhood."
"We stumbled onto Oenosteria late on a Sunday night and were SO happy we stopped in here!! Sebastian and Sofia were wonderful hosts to us and the wine and food were GREAT:). We ordered the Mixte plate and bruschetta and two crostone - all very generous portions, and all very delicious! We can’t wait to be back someday soon."
"If you’re looking for a casual place to gather with friends, sip a bottle (or more) of wine curated by your warm-hearted waiter from Rio, dip your bread into some of the finest olive oil, and share small plates of artichokes and honey-braised cabbage with a daily rotating pasta menu then this is your spot. And don’t skip dessert: the lemon pie (despite not even being a fan of lemon pies) was exceptional."
"Off the touristy track in st Germain the most amazing authentic Tuscan restaurant. Daily menu and absolutely delicious. Been twice and was amazed first time and second didn’t disappoint. The Italian girls working there speaks also perfect English and are super friendly and social"
"Outstanding authentic Italian food in Paris! Service was so polite and patient with us since we could not read the menu in French. They explained everything and made recommendations. This was the best food we had in Paris!"
"Flawless pasta! Absolutely delicious! And the staff is SUPER friendly. The place is also quiet and out of the way from the busiest tourist areas."
"Wonderful little place located in a side street at the heart of Saint-Germain. The food (sublime charcuterie, lovely vegs), the wine, the service, were top rate. I decided to take the risk to try this place despite the unfavorable reviews and wasn't disappointed! I found it warm, cool, friendly and relaxing. And so did my friends who live in the area. Thank you for such a fantastic evening. Will surely come back!"
